The Waikato Classic Motorcycle Club Inc.

The Inter Club BBQ - Waikato, Tauranga, Rotorua, & Auckland - a great day out!

WHO ARE WE?

The Waikato Classic Motorcycle Club is made up of people interested in the use, preservation and restoration of motorcycles which are over 30 years old as at the Clubs AGM date. Club members come from all walks of life and are of all ages. The club is family-orientated, with children and spouses welcome.
Bikes range from veteran and vintage through to the classics.

WHAT DO WE DO?

Club activities include:

Monthly meeting. Held at the Beerescourt Bowling Club Rooms, Maeroa Road Hamilton, on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm. An informal get-together where we have guest speakers on a variety of subjects.

Club runs. These are usually on the last Sunday of the month. We organise a variety of outings during the year, with some specifically for the older and smaller bikes. Usually we go to places of interest around the Waikato, and often are accompanied by a support vehicle (and lots of know-how) in case of breakdowns.

Have alook at the Events page for the next CLUB RUN....and join us for a ride!

Newsletter. The monthly newsletter keeps you informed about club activities and happenings up and down the country

Waikato Club Newsletter now available for download!.

Rallies. We support rallies run by other clubs in the central North Island and mount an expedition to the bi-annual National Classic rally.

Swap Meet. The Club runs the biggest motorcycle-only swapmeet in NZ, held at the Claudelands Events Centre in Hamilton City each April.

Update!! The 2010 Swap Meet was a great success!! Congratulations to the winners of the Show 'n Shine! Good turn out of bikes. Watch for next year's Swap date!

Other events. There are many other social events and special runs from time to time, again with a family emphasis. These include an inter club BBQ with the other Clubs in the Central North Island area.

Over the past 20 years we have covered most of NZ on our annual week-long …and sometimes two week…club tours. These are very popular and enjoyed by all!.

DO I NEED A CLASSIC BIKE TO JOIN?

No. Anyone can join. If you have a classic bike you will meet plenty of helpful people with advice, expertise, parts, etc. You will be able to get your bike out on the road with company and support if you need it. If you are looking for a bike, there's usually someone who can help. Don’t worry if your bike isn't immaculate - our emphasis is on use and enjoyment.

HOW DO I JOIN?

Just go to our Contact Page and print out our Application Form (PDF file, 172 KB) .
At present the annual subscription is just $20.
